This time last year, I had six heart operations conducted by the amazing surgical team to sort out my complicated heart problems, during a stay of nearly eight weeks. They saved my life. Every staff member I encountered, in the Intensive Care Unit and two other wards, was kind, caring and helpful. I really appreciated their support, skill and dedication.
My recovery since discharge has been slow but steady: at first I could hardly walk at all, but now I can walk five miles or so, and I'm aiming at ten. Please pass on, to all who helped transform my life, my heartfelt thanks (no pun intended!).
