"Wonderful staff member!"

I came to the RAH recently for a breathing test in outpatients respiratory department.

I was greeted by Clare, who was carrying out my test that morning. I was really nervous as I wasn't sure what to expect and Clare could sense this right away without me having to tell her.

From the moment she sat me down in the room, she had me at ease. she thoroughly explained the testing process and why it's being done, asked me if I had any questions, and put my mind at ease right away. She kept me laughing and smiling and was very encouraging when I was struggling.

The relief and comfort I felt just being in the room with her was wonderful. An absolutely outstanding member of staff - helpful, caring, friendly and extremely kind individual. You'll go far in your career, Clare! Thank you again for being a genuinely wonderful person.
