"Professional and reassuring"

About: General practices in Fife Queen Margaret Hospital / Gastroenterology Queen Margaret Hospital / Radiology

(as the patient),

After having abnormal bowel activity some pain discomfort and loss of weight . Visited my GP , was told I was being referred for bloods and stool specimens showing no abnormalities . Then told I was being referred for a CT scan .

This all happened rapidly. Call from Katy giving me date and instruction for scan. Had scan ,staff at QMH , lovely professional and reassuring . I had scan the Friday and told results be start of following week .

Had results by the Tuesday nothing found thankfully.

Then had a letter explaining results and what follow up will be.

Have no complaints everything  happened rapidly I was kept in the loop at each stage

Dear wearingtx47,

Thank you so much for taking the time to give your feedback on the service you had from NHS Fife. Working in radiology, we are always keen to have patients scanned and results given as quickly as possible, and it is great to hear that this happened in your case and the results were good news.

Having worked in CT scanning at QMH it is great to hear that the colleagues who performed your scan were professional and put you at ease during your examination. I will be sure to pass your positive feedback to all the team in radiology.

All the best,

Zoë Maclaughlan
