About: West Cornwall Hospital (Penzance) / Urgent Treatment Centre

(as a carer),

I want to thank the staff at West Cornwall hospital urgent care department. I was visiting the area from Canada and required to see a doctor. Being from out of country I knew it would mean a hospital trip. The Urgent Care dept at this hospital is fantastic. From the Administrator doing intake, who knew which forms I needed to fill in, collected my insurance info, informed how the process worked to the triage nurse who saw me within 20 ,

Minutes of my arrival to completing my visit with the doctor and receiving antibiotics. The whole process was complete within 3 hours. Thank you all for being so caring. I could see you were all busy but you treated everyone as an individual and you listened. Probably my best hospital experience ever.

I am really pleased to read you had a positive experience whilst needing to visit West Cornwall Hospital and that everything was processed for you smoothly to ensure everything was put into place and you were assisted in a timely manner. I am sorry that you needed to visit during your travels. I am thrilled that you found the staff were caring, treated everyone as an individual and took the time to listen and that you had a really good experience whilst in our care.

I hope you are recovering well and managed to see some of Cornwall's natural beauty of the coasts, countryside, towns and villages. It truly is a special place to visit and hope you've managed to enjoy everything Cornwall has to offer.
