"Amazing support from GP and receptionist"

About: General Practices in Grampian

(as a service user),

Twice in recent months I have required the support from my GP practice. Firstly myself when I had a lump on the breast and again for a loved one for support with mental health difficulties. 

Both times the receptionist was supportive, empathetic, reassuring and reactive to my needs. 

The GP on both occasions was amazing. They Listened and access was given that day to the support that was required. 

I couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I’m delighted to hear your practice helped you get the support you needed on both the occasions you contacted them. That first contact with the practice is so important for setting the scene for the next part of the patient journey and getting that right for each patient can’t be easy, but as you have mentioned, empathy and support are a vital part.
