I attended the phlebotomy department as Musgrave Park Hospital.
Before going to my appointment I spent over an hour on the BHSCT website trying to find where the department is, but the map and website are out of date. There was no mention of the phlebotomy department location and the only information I could find was a page advertising staff vacancies.
When I arrived at the hospital, which is on quite a big site, it took me a fair bit of time walking around until I found the signs.
In the department the service was superb; the check in was fast and the staff were very pleasant. I had a 65 mile trip for these blood tests. My local practice would not take my bloods. I was told by someone at Musgrave this is because they were requested by a BHSCT consultant, not my local Trust.
As I said, the service was superb. I am just hoping the website can be updated.
