"Appointments - never answer the phone"

As other people have mentioned, you are given an appointment and a number to call to cancel it or reschedule - they never answer. You cannot even leave a number. Recorded message saying wait times will be longer than usual due to unprecedented levels of calls. Then 'there is no-one to take your call. Please try later'

I have found it absolutely diabolical. The people running the hospital are either aware or should be and why isn't it dealt with? Set up an email for this sole purpose. It's a real kick in the teeth when you get copied in on a letter to your GP saying you didn't attend your appointment and will be discharged. Appalling. I think any other business would close down.
