About: North Street Medical Care

I contacted the surgery because I am concerned I may have lung cancer (as advised by the tv campaign). There were no appointments until the end of November. I explained my concerns to the receptionist. I was given an appointment. Thank you North Street. However I have just learnt my appointment is with a paramedic. No doctor and therefore delay. Honestly, I despair.

Dear anonymous,

Thank you for your feedback regarding your appointment.

We have many professional clinicians here at the surgery. Our Clinical paramedics are Advanced Paramedic Practitioners. They have also been trained in prescribing. An Advanced paramedic practitioner provides advanced clinical assessments, diagnosis, treatment and referral of patients. They can diagnose a wide rage of conditions and treat many minor injuries and illnesses. They have an allocated GP during their clinics whom they can refer to if needed. We are confident that the appointment was booked appropriately.

If you have any queries / concerns regarding your treatment, please contract the surgery directly, so we can look into the matter. Here at North Street we take all complaints / comments seriously and are committed to investigate all concerns brought to our attention.

Your NSMC team
