"A huge massive thank you for the amazing work you do"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Acute Stroke Unit (Ward 6) University Hospital Hairmyres / Emergency Department University Hospital Hairmyres / Surgical Receiving Unit (Ward 4)

(as the patient),

I attended A&E at the beginning of October and the department was extremely busy. Despite that the staff couldn't have been more helpful.

Firstly I got seen by a student nurse Scott who was so attentive and very professional . The communication of all staff involved in my care was excellent and I received first class care throughout my time in A&E .

The next morning I was moved to ward 4 .

The care and attention from all staff in the ward was excellent . A special mention to Nurse Nicola for taking such good care of me . She kept me smiling and could not do enough for me . A truly fantastic nurse .

My journey continued to ward 6 and again the care and attention was excellent. I was looked after by Nurses Darcy and Iona and they were both wonderful. The support staff kept us all smiling with their chat . The O.T'S were wonderful assisting me with aids for home .

Everyone was just so helpful and kind .

A&E Ward 4 and 6 a huge massive thank you for the amazing work you do .

Dear Grateful AG

Thank you for taking the time to share such positive feedback. I am pleased to read that you received a high standard of care throughout your hospital stay.

An unplanned attendance to hospital can be a stressful experience and hearing that so many staff provided professional care is reassuring. The wider teams and individual staff will be delighted to read your lovely comments. I will ensure these are shared with the staff mentioned as well as the ward and departmental teams.

I hope that you are recovering well and wish you all the very best.

Kind regards

Lise
