"Recent surgery"

Hello, I just wanted to share my experience from my recent surgery and Hospital stay I’ve just had. I came in for a scheduled surgery in late July, from the moment I came in I felt relaxed and well looked after, from the nurses to the anaesthetist Dr Bhaskar they made me feel reassured and at total ease, they chatted to me and had me laughing and at no point did I feel scared or apprehensive and that’s a fantastic quality to have considering I was about to have surgery. When I woke up in recovery  I was greeted by a really amazing gentle nurse called Rebecca who took fantastic care of me and made sure I was very comfortable before I was sent to my ward.

I was taken to the gynaecology ward and I can truly say the staff in that ward are a absolute credit to Nhs fife, no matter when someone called the buzzer they came into the bay quickly and with such a cheerful attitude, the care I was given was wonderful and a special mention to Angela the nursing auxiliary who went out her way to make sure I ate, the ward is lucky to have such compassionate staff, they all seemed to work as a well organised team, what fantastic care I received and they made my hospital stay very pleasant, even the domestic staff took time to talk and they clearly take pride in the cleanliness of the ward as it was spotless.

Last but not least my surgeon Dr Gatongi, from the first day we met he explained absolutely everything and at no point did I feel apprehensive, I felt very comfortable and reassured by him and I was in no doubt i was in the best hands.

People are very quick to complain but I can say I couldn’t fault one part of my experience, Nhs fife are very lucky to have such amazing staff and all I can say is a huge thank you to everyone involved, keep being fantastic 💕
