I was feeling unwell with some stomach pain and had to phone NHS 24, but my call was dealt with very quickly and efficiently.
I was quickly directed to the Emergency Department, where I was seen quickly by the triage nurse, who was really up against it with some rather loud patients. She was handling the situation really well.
It was explained there was a long wait but I was fully expecting that, however I was seen much faster than I was expecting. I was then seen by Dr Byers, a GP Trainee. I was really grateful to him for taking the time to lend a hand and his professionalism when dealing with me was second to none.
He arranged an urgent CT and got to the root of my issue straight away, whilst making sure I was happy with the plan. Everyone in the ED - including the porters, radiographers, nursing students and nurses - were extremely helpful and went out their way to help!
"Everyone went out their way to help!"
