About: Burnbrae Medical Practice

On behalf of my elderly mother currently aged 87, ongoing health conditions, cannot get to see her go face to face after experiencing swollen feet now since august….despite phoning several times…eventually seen by a nurse practitioner……referral made for cardiology….she has ongoing new atrial fibrillation…..still nothing from her gp…no medication review just an email to myself explaining how busy they were and how difficult it was to prioritise calls and messages…now more than 12 weeks later she still has never seen her gp, she has had an echo and awaits….patiently ….no response to her nurse request for a medicine review, nothing, still waiting,,,today I had another email from the practice in response to her phone call this morning as she has been awake all night distressed due to irritable cough and cold… she has a prescription for antibiotics for 5 days…no consultation just a prescription..even although she explained she didn’t have anything to express in her chest, this is shocking treatment for an elderly person who surely warrants a face to face review.. she refuses to change her go as at her age she can’t be bothered with the trauma of anything new….disgusted doesn’t even describe
