"The staff were so caring and compassionate"

About: University Hospital Monklands / Care of the Elderly (Wards 14,20,22)

(as a relative),

My husband passed away in Ward 14 a few months ago. Craig, the Charge Nurse had telephoned to let me know he didn't have long but by the time my daughter and I arrived he had passed away. Craig gave us a big cuddle and he and the rest of the staff were so caring and compassionate. He let us sit with my husband for as long as we wanted and brought us a cup of tea. His sympathy and compassion made a very bad time for us slightly better and I'll never forget what he did for us.
