I was transferred from SWAH to Altnagelvin recently due to having gallbladder problems.
After going through A&E and being admitted to have an ultrasound on my gallbladder, I was admitted to ward 43. After arriving, ultrasound showed I had a badly inflamed gallbladder and needed antibiotics and monitoring for a few day.
I must recommend the fabulous nurses on ward 43 as nothing was ever too much bother. They were so friendly and chatty, and never made you feel like a problem. Even when the pain got worse, they did everything they could to help. Absolutely brilliant staff, and a credit to the hospital. They are worth their weight in gold.
I was discharged yesterday and they made a horrible situation comfortable. Brilliant staff. Well done everyone.
"Absolutely brilliant staff"
