"Lack of nursing care."

About: Ninewells Hospital / General Medicine

(as the patient),

I was admitted after suffering a seizure but moved to a general medical ward to recover from resulting nerve damage in my arm. I also had a wound on my heel. There seemed to be no care plan being followed and any changes to the dressing seemed to be made on an ad hoc basis and none of the nursing staff seemed to know about it as they appeared to be over run by work and babysitting the same few patients.

Dear Smutley

I'm pleased the SCN on the ward has managed to speak with you and reassure you regarding your care and the levels of activity on the ward today. I hope we have been able to address your concerns and you feel confident regarding your treatment plan.

Thank you again for taking the time to raise your concern and allowing us to speak with you.

I wish you well in your recovery.

best wishes

Jane Brown
