"Kind, quick, attentive care in A&E"

About: NHS 24 / NHS 24 (111 service) Ninewells Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as a parent/guardian),

I was so worried about my son's breathing overnight and early hours of this morning, and 111 advised me to go to A&E. Every member of staff we experienced (receptionist, nurses, FY Dr, ST6/7 Dr) were friendly, compassionate, professional and made me feel confident and reassured in their care. I felt listened to and my son's symptoms of croup taken seriously. We were seen and treated really quickly, which was particularly appreciated so we could get home quickly after treatment, as we'd had a long worrying night. Special thanks to Santi (Jr Dr) and the ST Dr Santi discussed my son's care with, I was really grateful for their care.

I'm so sorry to learn your son had croup. It can be distressing for the patient and also for you as a worried parent. I hope he is doing much better.

It's good of you to take the time to provide complimentary feedback on the service you received from NHS Tayside. It sounds as though every staff member did a fantastic job in the professionalism and care they provided to you both.
