I saw an ST 4 cardiologist 4 months after a GP referral. The cardiologist had no connection to my patient's notes in another health area, and I am still waiting for an echocardiogram. Therefore diagnosis was impossible.
On returning home I obtained the blood results from the GP and emailed them to the cardiologist, but no further comment was made. This seems a waste of the medic's time and my effort in getting to the hospital.
I have now read the cadiologist's report in a letter, supplied to me by the GP, which explains their thoughts more clearly. Separately, I have been discharged from the cardiac risk clinic due to failure to respond to a telephone call - there was no ring since the professor failed to get past the Call Safe system, which had previously not been a problem.
I despair and basically have sunk to the attitude of leave me alone.
"Disappointing appointment"
