"The care my daughter experienced"

About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Accident & Emergency

(as a parent/guardian),

My young child had a temperature of 40° and we were sent to paediatric A&E.

Upon arrival we realised we were at the wrong end of the building but an off duty doc escorted us through the building instead of walking around the building outside as it was raining heavily.

After checking in at reception we were seen within 5 mins by a nurse and then by a doctor 20mins later. The Doc on-call was Peter. I have never experienced such a thorough examination and the care he provided for my daughter was exceptional.

The hospital is very lucky to have a doctor like Peter working in their A&E department. Although it was a worrying time, his knowledge and approach to caring for my daughter made me feel at ease. All staff were very kind and attentive and the facilities were spotlessly clean. Thank you for making a difficult time easier to manage.
