"Flu and covid jabs"

About: Central Vaccination Service - Perth & Kinross

(as the patient),

I got my invite for my flu and COVID jab for the start of October, then  my husbands came through for two weeks later. When I phoned the helpline they told me it was because we were different ages.

That's not a great excuse so now we have to do it on different days which is a pain in the backside.   I would like to know the reason why the different day, you obviously don't take into consideration using 2 lots of diesel to get to the clinic in this time of people struggling and it's not the easiest place to get to with all the roadworks.

Thanks a lot

Dear JuneA21,

thank you for raising your concerns around the scheduling of appointments and the difficulties this has caused. The appointments have been grouped together either due to age or underlying health conditions, but it has not able to distinguish family members and appoint them together.

We will always try to be sympathetic of individual circumstances, and I will share your concerns with the call handlers for future campaigns.
