"NHS Grampian Gerriatric OP SERVICE"

About: Kincardine Community Hospital

(as a relative),

My Mum was referred by an excellent Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) from the Medical Practice following a series of falls. The service was excellent my Mum being seen by Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy prior to the appointment and this information was shared at the appointment.

On the day bloods, weight etc were taken, as the appointment was at Kincardine Hospital, it was much easier and local. I felt it was such a holistic experience. Dr Shields was excellent with a lovely manner; getting all the information the professionals needed from my Mum first, then discussing any concerns we had. She then provided a very clear and comprehensive summary of issues and plan of action. This was duly sent to the GP and my Mum which I thought was excellent.

I couldn’t praise this service highly enough and things have improved significantly due to its interventions. Thank you on behalf of my Mum and our family.

Hi J67,

Please see the response below from Lynn Shields, Consultant Geriatrician.

'Dear J67,

Thank you very much for taking the time to feedback on your mum's recent experience. It means a lot to clinical teams to get feedback like this and I'm very pleased to hear that your mum has improved significantly.

Take care,

Lyn'
