"Emails were rather misleading"

About: Central Vaccination Service - Perth & Kinross

(as a service user),

Thought I was coming along for Covid vaccination, I am in my 50's. Turns out the NHS emails were rather misleading, as only eligible for flu, not Covid.

If I’m not due a covid vaccine, fine, but feel manipulated to come along and take the flu jab. Have never had it, am not in a risk category and am currently in excellent health, making every effort not to be a burden on the NHS. So, no thanks for now.

The staff were friendly, but I feel angry and manipulated to come along. Not happy.

Dear Needle phobic,

thank you for raising your concerns regarding the wording of the invite letters. Everyone over the age of 50 has been sent appointment letters inviting them firstly for flu vaccination and, if they were eligible, they would also be offered a covid vaccination.

I apologise if this has not been made clear and has caused confusion.
