"Son had injured ankle at rugby"

About: Whitehills Health & Community Care Centre / Minor Injuries

(as a parent/guardian),

Had an appointment at the minor injury unit Whitehills for my son. He was reassured by the nurse as soon as he was welcomed in. Spoken to with huge respect and kept informed every step of the way.

There was more than one nurse involved, each and every one of them reassured him about what was happening and the outcomes that could happen.

When told he would need a cast on again the empathy they had shown a young active boy was fantastic.

Again fully informed of what steps were to be taken and of the follow up appointment.

Fantastic service and complete dedication to what they do

Hello EB07,

Thank you for taking the time to post your story on care opinion. The feedback we receive helps us review and improve our service so is very much appreciated.

I’m very sorry to hear your son has broken his ankle and needed a cast fitted, I’m sure missing his rugby and any other activities will be upsetting for him. Hopefully he will recover quickly and not miss too much.

I’m glad that your visit to Whitehills MIIU was positive and your son was treated with respect and kept informed. We are a small team in Forfar and work very well together, I will make sure to pass on your feedback to the staff.
