"My cancer journey"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Chemotherapy and Day Treatment Unit North Devon District Hospital / Respiratory medicine North Devon District Hospital / Surgical Assessment Unit North Devon District Hospital / Urology

(as the patient),

Six years ago l was diagnosed with Renal cancer which had already metastasized to my lungs, liver and bones. Thinking l was not going to see Christmas that year, l took every treatment the hospital suggested.

Three months ago l had a Laparascopic Robotic Nephrectomy. I am due to start a different chemo shortly.

To sum up; without the skill and care given to me throughout the last six years, l would not be here telling you my story.

We have noticed standards fall, time waiting for appointments longer and tired, stressed staff. But their professionalism always shone through. Thank you NHS.

Dear MYSTIQUE

What a truly inspiring story! Thank you so much for leaving such positive feedback regarding your treatment and the professionalism of our staff over the last six years. It is always lovely when patients take the time and trouble to thank us for the efforts we have made on their behalf particularly in these challenging times.

May I take this opportunity of wishing you well for your continuing recovery and further treatment.

Kind regards

Paula
