About: University Hospital Wishaw / Day Surgery University Hospital Wishaw / Gynaecology (Ward 13)

(as a service user),

I'm in day surgery for a gynae procedure, this is the 2nd time I have been here. My first visit was cancelled after I sat fasting all day.

I was told I'd be first on list and got here early. The anaesthetist changed the list, so took more complicated case first. It is four hours later, and I'm still waiting. Very disheartening. Feels like a complete Deja Vu I'm even in the same bed!

Got taken in, I found the nurses all fabulous but never saw the Consultant after my procedure, had questions that weren't answered.

At least it's done now, but have to wait for results and follow up. I've already waited 3 months just for the procedure. Just makes you feel very down, just get a lot of excuses and apathy.
