I had a gastroscopy at QMH in Dunfermline recently and wanted to say thank you to everyone on the unit for their care. I was nervous about the procedure but the lovely nursing team (Kasia, Jennifer, Mary) put me at ease. Helen and Dr Masterton who carried out/oversaw the scope were great too. Little touches like putting the pats of butter (for the post-procedure tea and toast - 10/10, best toast I had ever eaten) under the toast to warm it up were so thoughtful. I am a healthcare professional myself and I work for the NHS within another health board so I know how hard our staff work, under huge pressure with limited resources. Recognition of great care is so important, so please pass on my thanks and gratitude to all on the Regional Endoscopy Unit.

Thank you for taking time to feedback about your recent visit to us here at the Regional Endoscopy Unit at Queen Margaret. I was delighted to read that the team had taken such great care of you and that the staff within the procedure room had supported you and put you at ease.

We take pride in offering our patients the best of care including the little personal touches of the tea and warm butter, I am so pleased you enjoyed it.

Every working environment has its challenges but we overcome them by doing the very best we can to make sure our patients are treated with the respect and dignity that they deserve. Thank you again for your kind words I will take great pleasure passing them on to the team especially those you have mentioned. Hope you have had a speedy recover
