"Fortunate to be cared for by this team of amazing people"

About: Haematology / Ward 34

(as a service user),

I was diagnosed with non Hodgkin's Lymphoma in April 2023 after months of tonsil issues. I was referred to ENT Ninewells by my GP in November 2022 after having a swollen right tonsil. I had my first of 6 R-CHOP chemotherapies mid May 2023 and completed at the end of August 2023.

The team on ward 34 have been absolutely amazing and I have felt completely at ease and 100% safe and protected.

Every single member of staff has a huge sense of empathy and conduct their duties in a professional manner at all times. They get to know their patients so well.  I looked forward to my sessions because I knew I would be so well looked after.

I absolutely cannot fault the team or the procedures. The split pea soup is a bit iffy, though.

I feel so humbled and fortunate to be cared for by this team of amazing people. Words cannot express how grateful I am.
