(as a service user),

I was referred to the perinatal mental health specialist midwife when I was pregnant with my twins. Fast forward them being born and me being in the absolute depths of despair with Post Natal Depression and feeling suicidal. I was planning a suicidal act with my babies and I told the midwife how I was feeling and was told I was sensible and would never do that.  Then they said the school was phoning and they had to go and that was the last time I spoke to them as they discharged me from their care.

I felt so let down and abandoned by someone who I'd opened up too.
