I was referred by my GP to gynecology at Wishaw General Hospital. I received letters to say I was on the waiting list. After 6 months I called gynecology and was told I wasn't on their waiting list anymore, I was passed on to physiotherapy.
I eventually received an appointment (phone appointment). So after a full year waiting, I received a call appointment then a follow-up appointment face to face a few weeks later. At this appointment I was told I had to complete 6 months of physio before I could be referred back to gynecology.
After waiting a full year I was completely disappointed, as I thought this was me now getting somewhere. I have now completed the 6 months of physio. The physio staff were lovely and although my issue is not resolved, it's not any worse and I will benefit from the exercises in the long run.
The issue I have is now I have been referred back to gynecology by the physio department. I don't know how long the waiting list is there now or if I need to wait again. I have heard nothing. I am concerned if I need to wait months again it will be approaching 2 years from my initial referral. I think the services and the process is just to delay but this is taking over my life now.
"Long waiting times"
