"Waste of time"

I had blood in my urine and with it being a bank holiday I contacted NHS111. I was advised to contact my GP and if that was not possible to choose another option, one of which was to visit the Urgent Treatment Centre at Spalding. Thinking that getting through to my GP the next day after bank holiday would be busy I decided to go to Spalding (with a urine sample as advised by 111) thinking I might need antibiotics.

Perhaps I should have called first because when I got to the Spalding UTC I was told in no uncertain terms by a stroppy, unfriendly receptionist that I couldn’t be seen, that I was wasting my time and theirs and that I needed to see my GP the next day!

It feels like the NHS don’t care about patients

Thank you for taking the time to leave feed back following your recent visit to Spalding Urgent Treatment Centre.

I am sorry to read that it was not a positive experience and you left the department feeling the NHS don't care about patients.
