"Such a caring experience"

About: Maternity care (Ward 31) / Maternity Out Patient Department

(as a service user),

I had an ultrasound scan following a PV bleed during pregnancy. The staff were wonderful, so patient when answering my many questions, talked through the different scans I was due to have and explained everything. Aileen and her colleague Caroline were so understanding of my anxieties and worries. Aileen talked to me at length providing insight, empathy and reassurance. I felt listened too, supported and was treated with compassion and respect throughout. They asked for a doctor to advise as well, and he gave advice using terms which made it easy for me to understand.

I’m extremely grateful for receiving such a caring experience at a time when I was feeling so worried about the pregnancy.
