I would like to express my immense gratitude to Dr. Li, who treated me in the ENT dept at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Throughout my years of being as patient of the NHS ,this appointment was by far the most unequalled positive experience I have had.
The night before this appointment I had to attend A&E at the QEUH and had an extremely difficult and bad experience. I checked myself out after waiting in excess of 5 hours for an ENT Doctor to see me.
I called my GP the following morning, who arranged an urgent appointment with ENT. I was extremely nervous about the appointment due to the bad experience from the night before, which I explained to Dr. Li, who completely put myself at ease and explained exactly what she was going to do and that she is a specialist in this field.
Dr. Li took the time to listen to my anxieties and spoke me through what she was going to do and reassured me at every stage. The procedure was completely painless and completely successful.
I never have notified the NHS of any of my experiences in the past, but in this case I feel compelled to acknowledge how ecstatic I am with the treatment and the care I was given and I would be very much obliged if you would let the good doctor know of how happy this patient is. In my view, she is the epitome of what the NHS stands for.
Please relay my very best wishes.
