"Please keep recruiting brilliant nurses"

About: West Scotland Breast Screening Centre

(as a carer),

I attended at the Mobile breast screening centre at Kirklands hospital. I had to change my appointment before hand and called the number provided. The lady who answered was very friendly and quickly identified a cancelled appointment that suited.

I was taken at my appointment time but the person who really made the difference was the nurse called Cheryl (I hope that is her name). She was super friendly, capable and caring. I explained I had a frozen shoulder and she was great for checking that nothing caused it further pain. She knew her job inside out and was quick and apologised if it was hurting (it didn’t). She told me what to expect and how long it would take and kept telling me how well I was doing and was so reassuring. She didn’t make it remotely embarrassing and she was so efficient.

This nurse is a brilliant example of the best of our NHS. You can just tell when a nurse cares and is in the right occupation. Cheryl should be noted for her great work and also should train others. Please keep recruiting brilliant nurses like Cheryl.

Please can you make sure that the staff at the Kirkland’s mobile unit are the ones who get the excellent feedback? Thank you
