(as a parent/guardian),

Whilst on holiday in Ullapool, our son - who has issues with allergies - experienced a more severe reaction than we had previously observed.

We attended Ullapool Medical Practice following signposting from the local pharmacy. However, we were ambivalent regarding what support we may receive. From the moment we entered the practice, reception staff were helpful in directing and escalating our concerns, and we were able to see Dr. Walter almost immediately, thanks to a kind gentleman who allowed us to precede him. 

Dr. Walter was acknowledging of our concerns, and took time to assess our son thoroughly, taking into account his history of allergies, and change in presentation. She included us in considerations regarding treatment of acute symptoms at that time, and was person-centred in her approach. We felt relieved and reassured on leaving the practice with an appropriate treatment plan in place, and were able to continue our holiday!

I am delighted to hear you and your son received such good care during your attendance.
