I came in recently for an induction. After trying the Foley bulb, the pessary and the drip, my labour wasn’t progressing and I ended up asking for a caesarean. The anaesthetist was amazing, they kept me so calm and relaxed during the caesarean. My midwife was also fantastic. The nurses on the ward were also amazing, they have been so helpful. The ward has been great. The poor staff are run off their feet but they look after us all so well.
My experience didn’t go as planned but the care has been very good. However, I feel like there should be better communication for women who are waiting to go down to the delivery suite. The waiting about and being told different information isn’t great. I felt like I had to beg to be taken down to delivery. A few of the girls in for induction said the same to me, but I do understand that they are very busy and run off their feet.
"My first baby, a good experience."
