In the early hours of a Tuesday in August I was suffering from severe stomach pains & was admitted to the Surgical Observation ward at the Royal Infirmary, Edinburgh where I was diagnosed with Appendicitis. I was then moved to the Day Surgery ward & underwent laparoscopy surgery the next morning.
I would like to express my sincere thanks to the Doctor in OPD 6, Chloe & Tracey in the Obs ward & the nurses in the scanning room & Nicky, Emma & Kate in the Day Surgery ward for their wonderful care. Each one of these staff members made sure I was kept informed at every stage & were so friendly & helpful. I could see how hard they all worked to ensure all their patients were comfortable & alleviated any fears they had.
I'd also like to thank the staff in the anaesthetic room & the recovery ward and of course Mr Ros who performed the surgery. I'd also like to thank the porters & catering team, never has a cup of tea tasted so good! I'm two weeks post-op & healing very well with no lasting side effects.
Thank you to you all for your hard work, compassion & dedication, it is truly appreciated.
