"Excellent Patient care in busy A&E"

About: Royal Victoria Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as a relative),

My elderly grandfather is unfortunately still in A&E waiting to be admitted to a ward.  He has dementia so A&E is not an appropriate place for him and family have been allowed to stay with him. The care he has received has been excellent dispute a broken system.

He was moved to a short stay 2F. -  again really busy and hard to manage. The nurse who is looking after my grandad is an excellent nurse, had him shaved, washed and tidied on arrival at 2F, genuinely interested in him and his well being throughout the day.

Just to say thanks in a truly difficult system.

Dear Learningfy33,

Thank you for taking the time to write this lovely compliment to the staff in 2F. Even within all the chaos, a simple assistance to a patients can have such a positive effect. I will share this compliment with the staff as I know it will be greatly applicated.

Kindest regards,

Paula Sterling
