About: Bluestone Unit (In-patient wards for mental health) / Willows Ward

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

 I wanted to share my thoughts about my time on the Willows Ward.

Everyone here has been very nice and helpful. The place is kept nice and clean also comfy!  They keep everything tidy. Food has improved, as I now pick the cottage pie to eat! Maybe some coleslaw would be nice, but maybe everyone might not want it here.

There's one thing I think could be better if my family could stay over with me as I just miss them so much.  The staff are very good at phoning them and telling me when they are coming to visit because when they come to see me it brightens my day and daughter she says that the staff are so lovely on the phone to her which makes me more pleased to hear that. They have a lot to do caring for all us older ones and I feel for them but they are doing a brilliant job!

Delighted to see this response and thank you so much.

We are always looking at the menus and will discuss with management further meeting to review this.

As regards the visiting I cannot change same at present as you know we have another ward in Willows and all the rooms are used and we have to continue using the booking system until such times as the other ward are given their new accommodation
