"TIA assessment and care"

About: Acute Stroke Unit / TIA (Trans Ischaemic Attack) Clinic Ninewells Hospital / Ophthalmology

(as the patient),

Monday afternoon I was sent to Ninewells with a suspected TIA, various tests were done and I was given appointments for the Ophthalmology clinic and the TIA clinic, both were attentive and sympathetic to my needs.

The TIA clinic carried out more tests on Thursday afternoon, Yvonne the dedicated nurse informed me of the tests and procedures that I would have at the clinic, she was friendly and informative also put me at ease.

Natasha the doctor that carried out my assessment and some of the tests was also very informative and explained what they think happened during the episode I had on Monday.

I can only praise Ninewells hospital for the prompt care and attention I received. Also Specsavers Arbroath for realising I was having a TIA.

Dear Davidson52

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about the TIA Clinic and about Specsavers Arbroath. Feedback is very valuable to all healthcare providers, and I'm sure that Specsavers will be delighted to hear that their prompt action led to you being treated in Ninewells.

I know the staff in the TIA clinic will be grateful for your feedback and will respond to you separately however we would recommend that you also feedback your experience directly to Specsavers to allow this to be passed on to the staff there. The link below will provide you with information on how to provide this feedback to them:

With best wishes

Dear Davidson 52

Thank you for sharing your experience and feedback following your visit to the TIA clinic. We appreciate all feedback we're given and I'll make sure your kind comments are shared with the wider team. It can be an extremely anxious time for patients attending hospital and I'm pleased we managed to put you at ease and give you the reassurance and information you needed.

I hope you're recovering and wish you well for the future.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience.

best wishes

Jane
