"Helpful and Kind"

About: Cheltenham General Hospital

I had a hysteroscopy, D & C, polyps removed and a mirena fitted. I was very nervous before hand, not of the procedure but of the pain afterwards. I was given the anaesthetic and then being woken up in recovery.

I did have some pain and was given something for it, i was so surprised it was over so quickly.

No embarrassment, gown was kept on before going into the theatre and then put to sleep and not knowing about anything afterwards.

All the staff were extremely helpful and kind.

The next day at home, one of the nurses rang to check i was ok, and i told him it was so surreal, that after a couple of weeks of worry and then done, given oramorph for pain relief at home and now back to normal.

Hopefully i will never need anything like this again, but if i did, i wouldnt be worried.
