Anything else?
My daughter visited the A andE dept with a ? DVT She is 25 weeks pregnant after 4 hours were given injection to self administer and given an appointment in the DVT clinic 3days later . When she arrived at the clinic no one knew about her and because she was pregnant would not see her. One nurse said to her that A andE staff know that she would not be seen at QMC so after 3 hours a very kind nurse told her to go to the city hospital. She was seen there but told to come back the following day at 9 which she did. The person who scanned her did not turn up until 9.50 We were not given any explanation until we asked for a complaint form . The communication is appalling. It cost her 3 separate parking fees. She was seen later that day in the maternity unit which was flawless.
