Yesterday, I fell off my bike. I'm 36 years old, and clearly still silly!
I went to A&E at my local hospital. I was quickly given pain killers while I waited for a nurse from orthopedics.
Orthopedics is where I met Michelle. Who was so kind, funny, and caring! I was in a total mess, in a lot of pain, and she made the experience as easy as possible. She got me an x-ray quickly, explained what was happening every step of the way, and was an all round legend.
She told me all the next steps and after I had a temporary cast on, let me know what would come next.
I saw her on my return trip today to have it checked again, she came and checked in with me and was once again fantastic! I also had an amazing nurse called Tony help me and put my boot on.
I went in last night terrified and in agony and I've spent the past 24 hours being reminded why the NHS is the best healthcare service in the world. ❤️
