"Upset by attitude of a staff member"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Maternity care

(as a service user),

Attended the antenatal clinic and was met at door by a women in a frock. Very unprofessional. Thought your staff were meant to be smartly dressed in uniforms.

Felt very disappointed in her attitude, very stressful attending these clinics without being met with this the minute you get into the unit.

However the little midwife that came into the room was lovely and cheery. Both my friend and I told the midwife this, and made me feel much more at ease.

I attend this clinic regularly and have never been made to feel this way before. Don't know if maybe this woman was just helping out as wasn't in uniform, but I feel she needs some training in manners.

Dear newmumtobe

I am sorry you did not have a positive experience when attending for a clinic. We have admin team members that are not required to wear a uniform as they are not in clinical areas.

I hope you felt your concerns were heard and you have a more positive experience in the future.

Best wishes

Attica
