"Very reassuring staff"

About: Daisy Hill Hospital / Special Care Baby Unit

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

My son was born in Daisy Hill 2 recently and was moved down to SCBU.

Since my son was moved down here, he has been so well looked after. The nurses and staff in SCBU are absolute godsends.

My partner would be anxious about being away from our son, but the staff have been amazing keeping us well informed and updated about everything. It is very reassuring.

They are so good with my little boy. I have not one complaint at all. They are amazing.

Hello decemberjf56,

Congratulations on the birth of your son!

I am delighted to hear that you had such a positive experience in SCBU and the nursing staff will be overwhelmed to hear your kind words. The SCBU team go over and above to ensure infants and their families receive the highest standard of care and they truly are a phenomenal team so thank you for acknowledging this.

I hope your son is improving well and I wish you both all the best.

Kind regards

Jodie
