I have long term anxiety and had a previous traumatic experience with a gynecology procedure, which meant that I was extremely apprehensive of the one I needed to get - borderline panic attack and nearly didn't attend.
Doctor Anna not only gave me the space and respect I needed to be able to make a decision, but also offered me so many options of how to make the whole thing easier for me. I was blown away by her abundant empathy and genuine approach to my distress.
Nurse Laura then made me feel safe and not daft for my extremely heightened emotional state, and between them both they enabled me to deal with something I never thought I could, without significant sedation.
My sincere thanks to both of you wonderful professionals - people like you really make a difference to people like me.
