"Very poor management of hip problem"

About: Borders General Practices

(as the patient),

I have been visiting my local practice about a hip problem over the last 18 months.  I was  told that I would be referred for surgery and then was told I hadn't been.  I then waited for 3 months for X ray results which I wonder  would ever had been done without me asking weekly.

The practice kept asking was it your knee x-ray which was never followed up?  I ask myself is It really a lack of funding or just poor management?

It just seems to be excuse after excuse .

The very same as when I was diagnosed with cancer, the specialist nurses input was  that they would show me a short cut to the cafe.

You couldn't make it up.   I struggled greatly with mental help problems during that time and it just seems everything is back to square one.

Dear Kerr1965

I am sorry to hear of the difficulties you have been experiencing in getting support for your hip problem.

In order to look into your concerns, I would require further information to allow me to discuss this with your GP practice.

Can you please contact me over the telephone on 07816 369853 or via email karen.maitland@nhs.scot with your name, date of birth and GP practice details.

Regards

Karen
