"Eye surgery"

About: Golden Jubilee National Hospital / Ophthalmology Outpatients

(as a service user),

I had cataract surgery at the Eye Centre, Golden Jubilee Hospital, 2 weeks ago. Im from Aberdeenshire but was offered the opportunity to attend GJH owing to the wait list in Aberdeen. At my first apt for pre op assessment I was very impressed with the very slick arrangements in the unit. When I attended for the actual surgery a few weeks later it was very similar. The unit seems to run very well and the nursing staff were very caring and interactive. My apt was at 0745 and I was back in my hotel room (attached to the hospital) by 0930.

I felt very well cared for and am very grateful for the care afforded to me.

Thank you to all concerned.

Dear KG777,

Thank you for taking the time to post on Care Opinion. Your post is lovely to read and staff will really appreciate this. I am very pleased to read that everything during your pre-operative assessment and your procedure went smoothly and that the staff were very caring towards you, as this is the care that they strive to achieve.

Regards

Paula
