I went to A&E as I was not able to walk, had pins and needles in my feet and legs and could not pass urine.
The doctor immediately sent me for an MRI, where it was confirmed I had cauda equina. I was then rushed to UCL neurology hospital where I had my operation the same day.
The staff at A&E Whittington Hospital and UCL were amazing and they cared for me very well.
I was then moved to Edgware neurological rehabilitation centre, where I spent 3 weeks learning how to walk again and gaining my strength.
The Staff went above and beyond to motivate me and help me to achieve my goals. I can’t thank them enough for the help and care they gave me. The nurses and physiotherapists are very kind. Thank you so much!
