"Treatment of broken wrist"

About: Vale of Leven General Hospital / Fracture Clinic

(as a service user),

I received a call from NHS to arrange an appointment at the fracture clinic (this was 2 days earlier than told the day before). I attended the fracture clinic where I met with consultant who had had a look at my X-ray and was told my arm would be put in a cast and that I’d come back in 1 weeks time for a further X-ray to ensure the break hadn’t moved. The nurses who applied the cast to my arm dealt with it in a careful & reassuring manor.

I returned to fracture clinic and the bones hadn’t moved so the cast will stay on until early September. During both visits I was treated promptly with care & attention
