"I would love to tell you the staff were incredible!"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Respiratory medicine

(as a relative),

My husband has just spent a week in Crosshouse Hospital most of it on Ward 3D, where I would love to tell you the staff were incredible!

The care they gave my husband who had aspiration pneumonia but also has Alzheimer’s was second to none . They made sure they explained to him everything they were doing at all times and the way they spoke was gentle and calming. On top of that because I was staying as well they took care of me also.

The NHS is always being dissed well I’m here wanting to sing it’s praises. Ward 3D is a medical ward the staff are super busy and stretched but they still conduct themselves as caring and proficient as you would wish.

Because he has other problems the ward liaised with other departments. I cannot tell you how calm they made me and my husband feel. Even some agency staff that looked after him were just as caring and gentle. So anyone criticising them, come see me.

Dear Agnes234

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience of the care provided during your husband’s admission to Ward 3D at University Hospital Crosshouse.

I will forward your kind comments to the Ward Team. I know they will be delighted to receive this feedback and it will be really encouraging for them to know that you felt so well supported and were treated by compassion during your time with them. When times are challenging, it’s always nice to hear such positive feedback from our patients.

I also share your admiration for the professionalism and compassion displayed by our staff. It’s often the attention to small details that make such a big difference in reassuring patients and alleviating their anxieties.

Please accept my good wishes for your husband’s ongoing recovery and thank you once again for taking the time to acknowledge his care experience.

Kind Regards

Pamela
