"Going above and beyond"

I just finished my psychology sessions with Rosie  who I cannot recommend enough. 

After having three sets of therapy/ CBT previously through NHS and Uni, finally getting psychology was a dream. As someone who is very self aware but still struggles with mental health, depression, anxiety, ADHD, bulimia, family and relational issues, having someone who took the time to really not only understand my situation, but give me a new understanding to something I was so familiar therapising myself through was so helpful.

I didn't need someone to tell me how to deal with my situation or listen to my struggles (though this was always available when I needed a rant!) but to have Rosie come back to meetings sharing the ADHD resources she's covered to help me or the thoughts from top psychologists she'd called to chat about what would work for me.  It's not just a genuine care about her patients but the effort to go beyond to help thoroughly understand and give advice. 

I felt seen, finally understood, was given insight I had not been able to find through usual therapy. Rosie is a joy. I hope other psychologists are like her. Plus I do recommend psychology as a form of therapy to anyone who needs more than just being comforted.
